CHID: 5254

Question

On my desktop i have a small window which says 'run-time error '75' path/file access error'.The window will not cross off and returns on start up.

Answer

Runtime error 75 is often associated with a program or Windows attempting to access a file that either it doesn't have full access either because the file is read-only or a network file you do not have rights to access.

Regarding your situation it's likely something is in your startup folder/registry that is trying to load that you do not have access to. We suggest you run the msconfig program and disable all your startup programs and see if this resolves this error. Additional information about msconfig as well as disabling startup programs can be found on the below link.
