CHID: 5273

Question

I want to delete 'extended' disk partition D: using Fdisk (i want only 'primary' partition C:)
After deleting, will i see full amount of hard drive memory?

C:\ 8mb
D:\ 2mb

when i delete d:\
will i have C:\ 10mb??

I don't want to delete C:\ and don't want to format hardisk.

Answer

When you delete the extended partition that space will be left unavailable. In order to use all the available hard disk drive space you would need to delete both the extended and primary partition and then recreate just a primary partition.
