Question

When a scanned picture is downloading to HP Gallery I am getting an error message. 'Font Arial doesn't support style Regular'. It has made all my text italic. I have tried everything I can but it keeps coming back.

Answer

Unfortunately it's likely that the Arial font you have installed on your computer is corrupted or missing. To resolve this issue we suggest you replace the Arial font with the original one by following the below steps.

1. Insert the Windows XP CD into your computer.
2. Click Start / Run and type cmd and press enter.
3. At the MS-DOS prompt type the below command in.

expand f:\i386\arial.tt_ c:\test\arial.ttf

Note: If your CD-ROM drive is not the F drive you will need to replace the F with the letter of your CD-ROM drive.

4. Once the file has successfully been copied reboot the computer.

Additional information about the expand command can be found on the below link.
