I need format a floppy disc to MS DOS. I have been to the MS DOS site but cannot navigate it properly to fnd the information I need. How do you format a floppy disc to MS DOS format. Another question - I have a program called Restore It - this is the program which requires the MS DOS disc. This program backs up your system if it ever crashes, you have discs to restore the data that you have created and also your complete computer system. Have you heard of this program and what are your comments. They would be appreciated. Thank You.

To format a floppy diskette from the MS-DOS prompt type the below command.

Format a:

This should ask you if you wish to format, press Y for yes and it will format the floppy diskette.

Regarding your second question unfortunately we have not heard of the program called 'Restore It' therefore cannot comment on it.
