CHID: 5602

Question

I am using Microsoft outlook 2003 version (11.5608.5606). When i send email with attachment on computers using Microsoft outlook express, they receive the mail with no attachemnts. Even if they select internet zone and deselect (do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus) in the outlook express setting. Please advise how to rectify it.

Answer

It sounds as if you're familiar with the Outlook Express issue with the inability to send unsafe e-mails. Generally this is the cause of this issue. However since you have tried this we are assuming that either the e-mail provider is blocking the e-mail either when it's sent or received or that something is still deleting the mail because it's qualified as unsafe. We suggest you compress (ZIP) the file and see if you are able to send it. If it still does not go through it's likely an issue with the e-mail provider and you will need to contact them for additional suggestions.

Additionally you may want to review the below document which contains information about this issue.
