CHID: 5698

Question

My Norton Anit-virus program keeps popping up asking whether or not to allow 'shmlkdtjhxp.exe' to connect to the internet. I don't know what this is and it pops up everytime I open a website.

Answer

We are not familiar with this 'shmlkdtjhxp.exe' file. However judging from the name of the file it doesn't look safe and should not be allowed access to the Internet. It's likely your computer is infected with some type of virus, trojan, or malware. In addition to not allowing this file access to the Internet you should run a full virus scanner check on the computer.
