Question

My computer came with two drives, c: and d:, the d: drive was 4 gigs and only contained system save files. i needed more space so i formatted that drive. Now i was wondering if there was a way to delete that drive, and put the 4 gigs back on to the c: drive. I went into Disk Management, and Disk 0 shows the c: and d: logical drives, well when i delete the d: partition, it just says 'unallocated space'. My question is, how can make it so that my hard drive only has the C: drive, and the 4 gigs from the D: drive added on to it?

Answer

Unfortunately you cannot combine two hard disk drives into one drive or partition or extend the second hard disk drive into the first drive or partition. Each drive is treated as a separate drive. If you are running out of space on the first drive the best solution would be to purchase a new larger hard disk drive and replace it with your current primary drive.
