Cray was founded in 1972 by Seymour Cray, Cray Inc. was a manufacturer of supercomputers. Cray was acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise on September 25, 2019. HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) later sold its enterprise services division to Computer Sciences Corporation.
