My computer has the W32.Spybot.Worm and I cannot get rid of it. I've disabled system restore and rescanned but its still there. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Ok....I now have Microsoft Antispyware and AVG....should I scan in safe mode to remove the infected files? AVG detected the viruses as Trojan Horse IRC/BackDoor.SdBot.191.BQ

No Kazaa or IRC or anything like that. All I have is iTunes...which is paid for....could it have come from that?

And yes it IS related to the former. Norton never detected any problems until I reinstalled it last night and updated all drivers.

I ran everything in safe mode and deleted all the infected files. I just ran 2 more scans to be on the safe side and nothing is infected now. I have more protection on this computer than I probably need right now. So can I turn system restore back on? *And thanks SO MUCH for all the help!*

I'm surprised Stinger doesn't clean it, it's not as if it's a new one. W32.Spybot.Worm Discovered on: April 16, 2003 They need to lift their act.

Unless programs start to clash. And yes, it is safe to turn on system restore if you are absolutely, positively certain that your computer is clean
