I used to have Verizon DSL, but switched to Comcast Cable several weeks ago. It may not be the fastest connection, but it sure is faster than DSL.

For Comcast, that's somewhat slow on the download, pretty good on the upload.

In the poll, four people voted for 100+ Mbs, but nothing was posted about actual speeds.  I am curious if those speeds were real, or some one misunderstood the question, or just voted that way as a joke.

Thanks, C-C , so it is available somewhere, some place. When you're in a location as I am(with no other feasible choices) that cannot even maintain 1 Mbs download, this just seems unfathomable, realizing that I'm paying much for what I'm receiving. overthehill

The entire Comcast network will be DOCSIS 3.0 by the end of this year.  You pay extra for the faster speeds.

I ran the test from Comcast that you recommended. I got much better results than last time.

I've actually run several speed tests since I switched a couple weeks ago. Each time I've gotten better results than before.
