Does this help?

If you actually went to the Virgin site you can download the instruction manual.

The device is plug and play, so it shouldn't 'do' anything. Are you connected to the internet?

according to instructions when you plug in for first time it downloads program, when I inserted it it showed up and then disapears, ive checked computer and there are no programs for broadband2go.Also Im able to get on internet going through my cisco router.Broadband2go just doesnt seem to want to download.I even went to their website and downloaded the program and tried to install that way.Seems to me for some reason laptop blocks it from downloading.

Did you but it new! If so, you need to take it back and get it replaced!

If your USB ports are working then it points to the device. As you can see from the links, this should be plug and play!
