Windows 95 versions came with either (if i remember correctly)  depending on the version 13 or 26 disks PLUS in each case a "setup disk that had to be inserted before disk one`. So what is it in terms of disks that you need.truenorth

The upgrade Edition requires a existing OS.

A REAL legal copy of Windows 95 is about $50. It is mostly of historical interest. Buy several, don't poem them, wait35 years and sell them as memorabilia for triple what you paid.  ::)

Comes with a floppy disk.
Can't  remember  how you install it.

You boot to the floppy disk, which installs a CD-ROM driver, and from there you run SETUP.EXE from the CD.

Oh, you mean like Windows 98? My memory is old. But I do remember playing Hover under my eyes were sore. Back in those days they had some kind of joystick.

Windows 98 FE (First Edition) was not bootable. Windows 98SE was a bootable disc. In the former case the steps were the same as they were for Win95.
