Forum rules. Because of the use of the words 'toothpaste' and 'mouthwash'.
All references to personal hygiene, good manners,  dining out and entertainment are  'off topic'.

I suspect the real reason was that if geek-9pm can't even be arsed to properly describe his problem it's pointless to have it in a place where hapless members may actually try to assist him.

Its evident that the subject is relevant to Geek's post.  :)
Have you tried going to FF's Tools/Options/Advanced tab/General?

With toothaste, you clean every day to prevent decay.
With FireFore you clean every day to prevent delay.

Forgot to clarigy.
In FireFox you now must load at least one dictionary to have the spell check nwork. The feature is nt found where you might expect it.

Maybe the British version comes with the discretionary?  ;D

iIt is now working. When I mis spell a thing, a little red squiggle unlined the thing. The get  it to work I have to load a English dictionary one time and from then on it worked. Never before have I ever needed to do that. And never since. It is not found on the menu bar, or if it is, I never found it. It can be loaded only when your are in a tect box.

Discretionary is a different plugin from the dictionary.
