SuperDave did not give me a clean bill of health, just asked how everything was. I had relevant knowledge I could not get rid of, so far seems we did, Yes, IE has been slow for sometime. I will try Firefox again. Can't remember why i took it out.

You better switch to Chrome, Firefox or Safari. They re better browsers than IE8 and even IE9 are.

This is probably a ridiculous question but I'll ask anyway. During that process of working with SupreDave, did you clear the browser history in all browsers?

lol, but that's not necessary at all. you can run any browser without clearing the cookies.

I'm new here and hesitate to comment. Is IE always slow? My down load speed varies from 1.50 to .50. MBPS .When my down load is .50, my PC is very slow. I'm along ways from the office and I'm on copper, so my download is as fast as I can get . Next time you experience a slow browser, check your down load speed here.. Certain times of the day I'm really slow, other times it's tolerable. Never fast enough for me. Would like at least 10.0 MBPS. Never happen where I am. Also check what's running and if you have a CPU hog. If I'm stepping on toes, please inform me, and I'll mind my own business. Defrag will not help this, but you should schedule defrag at least once a month. This is a great forum and I don't want to step on any toes and hope this comment is taken in the manner of me just wanting to help some one. Please tell me to back off if I'm out of line. Thank you!! garybear PS !A chkdsk might help. CCleaner is freeware that will clean up your PC and is very safe. here---http://www.att.com/speedtest/

It didn't work because you had a hyphen next to http. http needs to have a space in front of it.

I not sure what you mean. You have posted hyperlinks, so why are you asking how to do it?

Hello friend! Not trying to cause CH problems. I have joined many forums in my short time with a PC. I try to learn some thing new each day. On other forums I was able to high Lite a word like (this) and insert a web site with hyperlink. Then when you clicked on (this) it would take you to that link. It doesn't seem to work here at CH. I'm new here and I have been busy reading other topics. I have not seen this feature on any on the topics I have read. I hope I'm making my self clear. Some times I have a hard time explaining things. On other forums I would simply high light the word (here) then click the little blue ball and then if you clicked on (here) it would take you to that link. I hope I'm making my self clear! It's not a big problem, just a neat feature that other forums use. I can copy and paste a link, so it's not a big deal. PS this is a great forum and I'm really enjoying being here. Thanks garybear ! PS I will try to use the W7 record feature and attach a zip file if further explanation is needed. I'm not a newbie and I can follow instructions if you don't get to technical.
