just some advice
« on: November 29, 2011, 02:37:45 AM »
0. just a tip to advoid future problems after successfull build. ;D
1. many times new builds go from dream to nightmare in weeks/months  :'(
2. problems include video, booting, quirky behaviour, etc.  ???
3. turns out this or that was no good, costs $$$$  >:(
4. could have kept dream from nightmare, how?  :o
5. keep it cool!  ::)
6. take the time to run cpu/ram stress tests and "fine tune" your cooling solution  ;)
7. took 15c and 10c off my build {cpu/mb temps}, did not cost anything but time{few days} but 3 years later my "dream" still runs as good as then.  8)
8. for example i put too much thermal paste on {a common mistake} :-[

Thanks for taking some time to post your advice. If you or others are interested in creating a single section of suggestions we could always sticky it.

That's a really good idea.

I like the emoticons/emotions on every tip of advice. :P
Just remember to start always with one, not zero. ;)
