I had ordered a Intel D865GVLCL Intel 865GV Socket 478 mATX Motherboard in order to have a remote app.  I also, use this machine for other things.  When I first installed XP I was able to install the sound driver without any trouble.  For some reason know its not there also, its attempting to find it.  It dont seem that I am able to install the one from the site ether :/

Get the proper driver from the MBoard manuf. site and re-install it...
No need to remove the old one.

Did some research. Apparently your comp has Analog Devices AD1981B audio. Try the solution posted here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=234563
