you both are just mastered that things so called as pc's.
nice to here from allan 'dont finger till your system dont need it'.at the other point raptors point 'go to the original manufacture's page for best deal' is also map to gold.

You're obviously not a gamer if you think (videocard) drivers should never be updated. Some drivers can give a huge increase in performance.

Drivers should only be updated if there is a specific need or reason to do so. There is no such thing as an out of date driver. If your system is performing normally, leave it alone.

The OP said it was a Dell Inspiron 1545.  Knowing that alone should have quantified some of the responses.  It's a general purpose laptop introduced about 2009, one of the first with the "wide screen".  It's a nice machine but hardly in the gaming class.

Meh, I talked about gaming because I needed an example of why one would need/want to upgrade drivers. It wasn't meant for OP.

yup raptor is totally right.
It has experience index of 3.4(for gaming and 3d grafics).
Whereas for processors its quit high 5.9(calculations per sec).
So obvious its not a gaming machine.
But at all, i have a doubt can we treat the driver's updates as same as windows updates. ;) ;) 8)
