IE9/Adobe Flash Player question

That would certainly have made this "mystery" much quicker to solve.  No,  I never got that kind of question/message.  It just kept telling me to download Adobe flash player, and then of course it wouldn't work.  This computer is only 6 months old.  I am guessing this was a factory default setting because I never turned Adobe Flash Player off or "disabled "it in IE9 after I first purchased it or set it up.
