Need free program to convert video_ts videos to MP4 format to post on photobucke

I have alot of old movies back in the 60's & 70's I took with our camcorder and the format i guess is video_ts and i need to convert it to MP4 video so I can put them on my photobucket acct. Now i do have a program called Format Factory but when i convert movies to the mp4 format, video stops and gos and when stopped, the audio is still speaking. anyone know a good program for free that will do this conversion to mp4 and free and easy to use.

You already tired newer version of FF. Right?
If the file is very damaged, thee is not a whole lot you can do.

For video converting, I usually use Any Video Converter, which so far hasn't let me down with anything, and it's free.
