    GTX 480 lags terribly in windows 8 games

    My GTX 480 which is supposed to be a far superior card lags in Windows 8 games, particularly asphalt 8, which has just basic graphics and my ATi 4850 which is a much cheaper card runs them smoothly and flawlessly. Feels like I just wasted all this money on a GTX 480. Help anyone.

    48 GB RAM
    SSD
    NVidia Geforce GTX 480

    Did you install the drivers for the new card?  What power supply and motherboard are you using?
