I am trying to burn data to an Imation DVD+RW.  My Mac G4 won't even open the disk for initiation.  What might be the problem?  I've tried several Imation disks.  This problem does not exist for an apple DVD+ Rw.

Maybe you should check with apple for compatable media, its possible that the drive doesn't accept some brands.

My Advice would be to use Arita or Nashua they mostly work on the G4.
