    Is there any way to get them back? And I use Windows 8 btw. The old drivers were Intel ones FYI.

    Your question is not clear.
    You are now using Windows 8 and the sound does not work?
    You used to have Windows XP SP3. You understand that the old drivers do not fwork with Windows 8.
    What is the model number of your Dell computer?
