The XP POS Hack is very bad.

I feel the need to bump my own post to warn others not to use the POS registry hack. Unless they just want to waste time.

Below  is my POST MORTEM. post.

If you do not have a backup copy made recently, do NOT try the POS hack on Windows XP. You will just waste your time. 

I had to use a backup. I could not remove the effect of the hack. Even System restore was damaged. I was unable not restore at any point before the hack.

Thanks for sharing this... as for I was tempted to check it out on an XP machine I have. I'll avoid it now.
