Device manager error (code 12) not enough resourses?
« on: June 05, 2016, 09:52:14 PM »
I've run troubleshooter on this then restarted the machine as directed but the error still comes back. It says

"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."

How can I alot more resources to this? Or what other device should I disable?

I haven't seen this error before today but I can't think of anything I changed that caused it, but I may have.

More dialog boxes attached...

Is any specific functionality affected?

Have you installed the chipset drivers?
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

I haven't realized any functionality issues so far...

I ran the Intel Driver Update utility and it identified the Intel chipset driver as needing update / install, but when I tried to do so I got an error message. I will attach those .txt files in case that will help. I don't understand much about what they mean...

I may be getting this incorrectly...but according to the 1st screenshot it's the HP laptop that is showing issues...correct ? ?

With laptops the drivers should be from the laptop manuf. site...not intel.

I see this same error from time to time, it's bogus, nothing is running & 64-bit machine has 8GB RAM, restart computer.
