Running POST and computer shuts off after a few seconds
    « on: February 19, 2017, 06:06:10 PM »
    :o
Don't know whats going on. But I have a  HP Notebook I am working on Win 7

and when I go to run a POST, before the OS kicks in ,  the computer just shuts off after a few seconds.
Does not shut off on its own
any other time. What could be the  problem?   DONNIE

POST is the test normally made by the firmware when the computer starts.
So what do you mean when you say you run POST.
    Who starts the POST?
     You or the computer?
And if it shuts off, how do you ever get tote operating system?
Please clarify what you are doing?
