OS: Windows XP professional

Is it possible to create a boot disk that will allow me to access the files on C:\ prompt without loading windows?

Cheers

You can create the 6 boot disks from the XP CD and try that. Keep in mind that XP must be running to get to command prompt, which is not DOS. Also, it does not run on top of DOS, as Win98 did.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Please post as much information about your computer, operating system, and problem as possible, what happened prior to problems, etc. Too much info is OK, too little is pointless! Don't just say "My computer doesn't work. What's wrong?"
