my friend by mistake removed the realtek sound program from his laptop last night and now he has no sound.can he go to the realtek site and download the driver from there or what?if so which one??will that fix it.

That would depend on the soundcard installed.

I suggest you take a look around on the Yamaha website (I know it's a horrible website to navigate through) to see if there are any pointers as to where you can obtain the name.

I also suggest you E-mail technical support and have them point you to the right download location.

You can usually obtain the name by going to Device Manager.
