Xp Pro Programs Menu

Running WinXP Pro. When I install a program it does not show up on programs menu. Under "documents and settings" in directory I have a folder called "all users" and one called "Office" which is the name logged on to, and is the only choice given at logon. The installed programs seem to be going to the "office" folder but my start/run/programs is showing the "all users" programs. Also the programs only show 3 rows and end with the programs starting in "m". Both program folders show considerable more programs than appear on the Start/Programs menu.
