I have a big problem: I can not boot from CD ROM (and I need to repair my OS). I have Windows 2000 Datacenter. When I boot, I receive following message:
INT13/42h
Read error (AX=0100,DL=44)
Block=00000010
Error loading image:DISKEM1X.BIN

Can anybody help me? Or, how I can to repair OS without boot from CD ROM.
Thanks a lot.

Hi,

First You have to check Your BIOS and the arrangment of the boot devices.

most BIOS they arranged the boot devices as:

Floppy Disk
CD-ROOM
HardDrive

So, try to fix it like above, by restarting your computer and hit the F8, or Delete, or F2 because

It is depend from BIOs to other any way most of them is F8.

then go to Boot and arrabge it.

Or maybe your CD that you are trying to boot from it does not Bootable CD

this is another problem also ..

seond solution.

Bring a startup disk with a Win CD to Enther to the DOS and repair Your Windows by typing :

[CD partition F G E ... ]  sys C:   (Enter)

finish

regards

Cici .

Try entering the BIOS setup and changing the boot order to boot from the CD-ROM drive first.
