Is it your videocard that causes problems? Are you using the latest original drivers?
same crap about checking new hardware, blah blah blah
Quotesame crap about checking new hardware, blah blah blahShame on you, so far that's all you've really told us.
What's the exact message that the bsod gives you?
Have you checked your device manager, did you get your drivers from the manufacturer's websites, is your Windows uptodate?
Setting your own IRQ's leaves too many variables to track down...How about a comprehensive lisst ? ?
Have you added any new hardware? When does this bsod appear?Does it happen in safe mode?
QuoteHave you added any new hardware? When does this bsod appear?Does it happen in safe mode?no, not in safe mode. i know it is my video card, a compatiblity issue with my motherboard and CPU i think. which is why i am upgrading soon. but that wont be for atleast 22 school days, not counting weekends with this job program.

Why do you have 2 display adaptors listed in your device manager?
QuoteWhy do you have 2 display adaptors listed in your device manager? Two ports on one videocard.
It even happens outside of Windows? Something must have gone wrong, I do not see any opaque entries; are you certain you have done exactly as I recommended? However, if it even happens outside of Windows it is not related to any drivers; it is then hardware or BIOS related. Have you tried resetting your BIOS to the default settings and having it auto-assign IRQ's?
I see your motherboard has built-in video. Did you disable it in the BIOS when you installed your AGP card? I gather it would appear in Device Manager as "Real ...", not as ATI Radeon, so apparently, the built-in video is not a factor in your Device Manager showing two Display Adapters. As I said in my previous post, I'm not entirely in agreement with the notion that you should see two display adapters listed under Display Adapters. Perhaps this depends on the make of video card.
trust me, i have disabled it before, it shuts off the second monitor. i know its weird, but my so is the rest of my PC.(view previous page for latest screenshots)
QuoteQuoteWhy do you have 2 display adaptors listed in your device manager? Two ports on one videocard. That may be true with some video cards, I guess, but it's not true for all video cards. I have a GeForce4 Ti4200 (AGP) with two ports and two monitors attached to it and my Device Manager only shows one Display Adapter. I have had a PCI video card installed in the same computer, along with the AGP card, and then Device Manager will show two display adaptors, representing the two cards.

Try going back to the Stone Age and use only one monitor...does this eliminate the error messages ? ?patio. 8-)
My MSI motherboard caused me to own 2 computers, the second one I built from parts I purchased to swap out until I found the problem was MSI.I still have the MSI in my work computer, it just locks every now & then.
I had an MSI board that would randomly crash because of a defective USB controller. That was funny, never saw anything like that before.
QuoteI had an MSI board that would randomly crash because of a defective USB controller. That was funny, never saw anything like that before. sounds like somthing this thing would do to me... im tring to remember the random crap this thing has given me... too many things to list though, lol. oh, i downgraded to my old Nvidia again, but, its S-video plug is like... 7 pin, my ATI is 9 pin, so the adapter wont work, and i have no idea where my home made adapter is.EDIT: i am going to start a poll to see peoples opinions on MSI products...

But don't quote me on that.
I believe Raptor was being facetious...
QuoteI believe Raptor was being facetious...No, I was on the phone with a senior staff member who recommended that I pull out the pins for a customer because the converter for VGA to DVI didn't fit. 4 pins too many. But he also said that if it didn't work, the guy could come back and get a new converter.

Microsoft throws $2000 computers in Redmond into a dump in Arizona so the peasants can pick over them? Is that because they are not Vista capable?
