Does anyone know how I can lock windows using MSDOS, instead of using CTRL ALT DEL?

Windows doesn't have MS DOS so I guess you're referring to command prompt? How about a screensaver lock with inactivity in 1 minute triggering it?

Let's see, click Mouse around to get a command prompt window, then type something in and press enter vs. Ctl-Alt-Del and 1 click. Doesn't seem like you're saving any steps.

Please post as much information about your computer, operating system, and problem as possible, what happened prior to problems, etc. Too much info is OK, too little is pointless! Don't just say "My computer doesn't work. What's wrong?"

Thing is that I have my PC connected to a bunch of other PC's to which I have administrator rights. I'm looking for a way to make them all lock with one command.

It's easy to make a batch file that just shuts them all down when I push and execute the batch file to all the PCs.

However, I just wanna lock the computers as I don't want to lose any information. Any ideas on how to do that?

If anyone has any non MSDOS related ideas then those are also welcome

GX1_Man should make a fist and punch himself in the head.
if you knew anything about DOS (Disk Operating System)
you would know Windows is a visual of DOS.
Windows is just graphical interface of DOS.
Command Prompt is DOS.
they just named it differently.
When you click on something in Windows it is really being coded in DOS. you just dont see it

I'm sorry. I guess you should inform Microsoft of this at once. They would be very interested in your discovery.  ::)

They would also be interested in how WinME can utilize the NTFS file system as you recommend.
