I've totally changed my perspective to Microsoft Surface. A job well done, guys.
Finally something extremely convenient and useful since XP.

Must get scratched easily though............

it "looks" like a completely  interactive see-thru table top type device.. kinda think along the new vista aero principle (viewing)...  and the table top can tell what exactly is placed on top of it and will load the program or interaction directly related to the users command.  Lay a digital camera on top,  and it starts to download the pics immediately.   drop and drag pics with your finger  etc...   really need to see it to get a better idea what this satanic new device will be able to do!!!    :D

I seen something similar to this on Dragons Den (a UK TV show, anyone seen it?)

The "Dragons" (UK business folk that decide wether they want to start a business relationship with the people to get their business idea off the ground) told the guy that had this idea it was going nowhere and noone would buy it.

I'm sure the guy said he had the patents to it, although in reading about this, I must have assumed he had...

It really is taking too long to load, why oh why can't they just offer a html page?
Maybe I don't want a Flash animation, maybe I just want to read something.
Sorry, animations and no option to skip or go to standard web page formats make me angry.
It sounds pretty good in theory from your description, honvetops.
Wonder how well it would pan out in reality, and how much it would cost . . .

Calum, you're on DSL, aren't you?  If you can be patient, I think it's worth the wait.  How long did you wait the first time?  I didn't check the time closely but, with my DSL speed of around 1.44Mbps, I believe the initial wait for the first page was not more than 30 seconds.  Again, I didn't watch the time closely so my statement may be a little inaccurate.

I'll go take another look in a bit then.
1Mbps DSL here, so it shouldn't be far behind your times.

Page is slow to load, but worth the wait. This was also mentioned on this earlier post, with links to YouTube videos and HTML links describing it.

This is truly impressive... And I don't think it would be as exciting if the website weren't flash. That's really the only way to tell what it is.
It reminds me of the movie Minority Report with Tom Cruise when he is doing computer stuff with little magic wands or something. Ooh, there's an idea, use two Wii-motes to move stuff around on a computer with a projector. :)
I like the games they showed you could play with the bubbles when you put a glass of water on the surface. I can't wait till they come out and are not super expensive. I want one!

What good is calling dibs if the offer wasn't even for you?

Dibs
–noun, Informal.

1. rights; claims: I call dibs on *insert object* when *insert person* is/has done/finished/no use for it
2. Dibs over-rules any other claim for possession, much like the "Shotgun" claim, as long as it can beproven.

-Sorry dude, dibs wins all  :P
