Just curious -  does the web chat from here take you to
irc.blitzed.org   #computerhope   ?

Although rarely used, I like to keep an old install of mIRC here.... just for a rainy day.      :)       

For things like that,  I always liked a real irc client much better than a web interface.

Even im very curious to know more about this feature.

Which "feature"?    web chat or irc chat, or both?

I didn't review that whole thread that you provided a link for.  I did see a comment that the channel no longer exists.
For what it is worth,  I just loaded mIRC and checked.    It does exist.
Only  @ComputerHope was there.   Probably some sort of bot.
