I was trying to store a game on my brothers ipod but when i opened it avast picked up a virus, i was in a hurry and accidently clicked ignore instead of delete. To make things worse i've forgotten the name of the virus. Now every five minutes a box appears in the middle of the screen headed with Windows - No Disk and underneaths the heading is has "Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c" This is the only effect is has had so far but since I am a hardcore gamer and the box causes me to minimize and click x on the ox 9 times before it goes away it is very frustating does anyone know what i can do because my avast scan on thorough still didn't fix or detect it.

To start with, scan your computer here for free:

You need to explain more clearly what your situation is...
Did you then install the game from the iPod on your machine ? ?
Is is your machine that is showing the error ? ?
If so is this a copy of a game or a torrent DLoad of a warez version ? ?

It sounds like the computer is looking for the source files that were originally on the iPod...

I don't think a virus is involved here...

ok i didn't try to install the game/s a was storing a game from my comp onto the ipod so that a friend could put it on their comp without having to download it. is it my machine... umm i think so because the error still shows up but the ipod aint connected and judging by the title "windows - no disk" my computer is trying to run something? and no the game is an original download from my computer if you think it is not a virus should i try reconnect the ipod to find out whats inside it?.

You may be right. Make sure, your AV is up to date, reconnect iPod, and scan it with your AV first.
Pay attention to any malware name, if any.

This problem can be caused by all sorts of things.  My top three guesses without having any further information would be QuickTime, Norton Antivirus, or (because it's iPod-related) iTunes.  Could also be a variant of the Resik worm.

It's going to take a fair amount of time, but please run through these steps...

As a sidenote: anti-virus scans are for more effective when run in Safe Mode.

CBMatt is right...
More reading, and possible solutions:

Also, if there is nothing important on that iPod, I'd try to reset it:

They may actually be in .log format which, unfortunately, isn't supported.  You can re-save them as .txt or .doc, copy and paste them here into a few posts, or zip them up and attach the .zip file.

I can't see any firewall listed. Are you using Windows firewall? If yes, we'll deal with it later.

1. Print this post out, since you won't have an access to it, at some point.

2. Download, and install Spybot (if you don't have it) from here: http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10122137.html

3. Close all windows, except for HJT.

3a. Go Start>Control Panel>Add\Remove, and uninstall Internet Optimizer, if listed there. If not listed, proceed to the next step.

4. Put a checkmark next to the following HJT entries:

- O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE

- O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Internet Optimizer] "C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer\optimize.exe"

- O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Noble Poker - {B723B1B8-9788-4684-ADA7-D1DB02E1D516} - C:\Poker\Noble Poker\casino.exe (file missing)

- O16 - DPF: {AF2E62B6-F9E1-4D4F-A10A-9DC8E6DCBCC0} (VideoEgg ActiveX Loader) - http://update.videoegg.com/Install/Windows/Initial/VideoEggPublisher.exe
(if you use the above game site, leave it alone, if not checkmark it, as well)

5. Click on "Fix It" button.

6. Restart your computer in Safe Mode (keep tapping F8 key, when your computer starts)

7. Run Spybot (check for updates, first), and fix whatever it asks you to fix.

8. Open Windows Explorer. Go Tools>Folder Options>View tab, put a checkmark next to "Show hidden files, and folders".

9. Delete following files (if they still exist):

- Internet Optimizer folder from C:\Program Files

- Poker folder from C:\

10. Turn off System Restore:

- Windows XP:
   1. Click Start.
   2. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
   3. Click the System Restore tab.
   4. Check "Turn off System Restore".
   5. Click Apply.
   6.  When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this.
   7. Click OK.
- Windows Vista:
   1. Click Start.
   2. Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
   3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
   4. Click on Continue on the "User Account Control" window that pops up
   5. Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
   6. Uncheck the box for any drive you wish to disable system restore on (in most cases, drive "C:")
   7. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click "Turn System Restore Off" on the popup window to do this.
   8. Click OK

11. Restart in Normal Mode.

12. Turn System Restore on.

13. Run HJT again, and post back its log back here.
