Hi

Have been using AVG now for a couple of years alongside spybot, crap cleaner, etc.  This was recommended by this forum after I had a trojan horse virus on my computer.  I do weekly checks on my computer and everything has been great.

However, I'm having problems with AVG at the moment and not sure if anyone can help.

For the last few weeks I have been doing very regular scans.  The results have been the same every time - I have 9 threats on my computer, from temporary internet files: "Virus Found JS/Downloader.Agent" with a status of infected.

However, AVG is not giving me any options to do anything about it.   My security status is fully protected, and everything working ok but every time I scan (and at the moment it is every day) I am getting the same thing.  However, the result is threats found but with no option to move them to vault, clean them or delete them.  Does anyone know where I might be going wrong?

cheers

JS might stand for javascript downloader. CCleaner by default does not actually clean all temp. files unless you set it to.

To clean all files. Open CCleaner. Click the Options tab > Advanced, and ensure "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours" is unchecked.

Working through all the steps in the guide is still recommended.
