Tiger woods 2008 pc game

Have recently received the tiger woods 2008 game for my pc as a present. Since then i have had nothing but grief from it. Half way through a game i get a message telling me that the game is closing down as there is an error, or the game completely closes up then goes to a blue screen and tells me that there is a problem with the ial.mdd5 dll. Has anyone out there got any ideas on what to do?
