Unable to remove yahoo_newbreed1-1_tm5-3.exe

hi
Just got home and found my daughter has down loaded a program called yahoo_newbreed1-1_tm5-3.exe on my desktop. Have tried all the solutions listed. Still no joy. When you open the properties it says it is a ms dos file. When i try yo delete it, it comes up with is being use by another program.
Have tried safe mode comes up with the same, even when there is hardly any thing else running.

Any one help me please.

my comp is windows xp home.
Yes i have looked in add/remove and no it is not listed.
 i have tried all the things i know and still i can't get rid of it. 

i am sorry if this is in the wrong section. if it is in the wrong section can someone put it in the right place please.
