I have had my computer for a while now and recently it has really slowed down. There is a lot of disc activity when I start programs and it takes ages for them the run. Is my computer broken? Embarrassed

No it probably just needs a clean up.
First things first, what version of Windows is this?
Can you provide us with the specifications or make and model of the computer?
How much free space do you have on your hard drives?
