Computer Hope 1 1 1
« on: February 25, 2008, 09:18:18 PM »

For the month of March we thought it would be interesting to see how many CD's you've ripped to your computer. With CDs being replaced by digital media such as MP3 files and portable CD players being replaced by MP3 players we were curious how many CD's you've converted to your computer. Feel free to comment about how you're getting your music, if you've got your whole music library on your computer, if you no longer purchase CD's, etc.

All past monthly polls and results can also be found on the Computer Hope poll page.

As of right now I have a little over 8100 songs on my computer.  Many of those are from rips.  I'd say over 100 easy.

2053 songs on my computer...
134 hours...

I'd say over 100 CD's have been ripped. By me, personally? No. But my sister, yes...

I obtain my music from Tapes, via "Xitel-Record From Your Stereo to Your Computer," then Rip to CD's.  I'm doing this with many of my favorite Tapes and with Xitel it's rather easy.
Also I Rip CD's from CD's checked out at the local Library, as they have an excellent collection, as the price is right.   ;)

Most of the ripping I do is from borrowed CDs.
Emory, is Xitel a website?

When I want a new music CD for my vehicle, I simply download what I want and burn a new cd.

Don't own many CDs. I've ripped 5 for a project, and one for other purposes, total 6.

I do mass burning in my production room, so I always rip from CD to CD but most of the musics & other recordings are from the studio's microphone into my PC 8)
