I have the same problem here today. Three computers in our lab have the same problem as Anau mentioned. The only thing appears on the desktop in the mouse pointer which I can move around but cannot perform any task such when I right click or else nothing happen. We haven't change the operating system or install anything. We are using Window XP, SP2

This sounds like spyware has disabled your taskmanager. Is that possible? Do you have good protection?

- We don't have the Window CD. - This morning we turn on one of the computer that had the problem yesterday and it went well and icons appear but with white desktop background. - We don't have antivirus for the laptop and maybe the spyware affects it as you mentioned. Is there any other way I can get my files in the laptop?

When at work tomorrow tell him that posting issues in other people's threads only confuses the issue...
