hi.  how do i access this disk so that i can delete files from it?

Judging by your title, is there something wrong with the disk and you cannot boot from it or what?

Go to My Computer, Right Click Local Disk C and go to Properties.
Exactly how much Free Space and Used Space do you have?

How many other Drives do you have in My Computer?

Also, Download and install CCleaner
Once installed, make sure you check the following boxes:
Internet Explorer --> Temporary Files
Mozilla Firefox (if you have it) --> Internet Cache
System --> Temporary Files
Sytem --> Empty Recycle Bin

That will clean your computer of unnecessary files and should free up some space.
