What I've been seeing for the last few hours:
Techno, , , , , , , Carbon, , , , , JohnK, , Calum

Other than JohnK, none logged in, not sure where the commas came from.
Also, the greeting from HopeBot - the link needs a space removed, it currently reads "computerhope.com/ forums" which obviously doesn't work.  Also, where it says you can ask your question in the forums, it's spelt "forms".
Not complaining, just flagging bugs so they can be addressed.

Would never take that as complaining, I appreciate you taking the time to let me know about the errors. I believe the comma issue should now be fixed as well as the forum link. I didn't see a space in the URL, however it ended with a period and that was causing a 404 if the link was visited from the chat client.

Update:

I've updated and fixed some additional things with hopebot and how the bottom text is displayed on the main page. You should now see results similiar to the below example.

Quote
Users active in chat:
admin, Techno
Total logins: 112. Total lines typed: 21. Last action: September 11, 2008, 1:46:49 (MST).
Join the chat now  (IRC: irc.mibbit.com #computerhope)

Just a FYI for those of you who watch things closely. To prevent any additional slowdown the lines typed on the forums is not updated after each line is typed, but is intelligently updated when certain events trigger it. Last action is triggered on user logins/logouts and when line counts updated.

More updated info:
I've added this chat link and information also to the below two Computer Hope pages.

http://www.computerhope.com/oh.htm
http://www.computerhope.com/chat.htm

Users who're coming in using these pages will be coming in as Guest_xx where xx is a random number.

New additions of adding chat to the above two links and mentioning it more on the forums seems to have helped it's popularity, really good first day with statistics.

That's +122 logins in a day and +1,519 things typed in the chat. Looks like a good start.  ;D

Heh, sorry, you're the one that entered that name. :P That just happened to be the capture I copied from the main page at the time.  :-[

Just noticed that, I thought I had all the name issues resolved, apparently not. I'm guessing it had something to do with her being half-op when she left. But not sure.

Something similar happened to me last night when I accidentally closed my browser.  When I came back, it wouldn't let me on because it said my account was already in use.  I had to log off the forum and then log back in to be able to access the chat again.

It shouldent be a matter of logging out of the forums.

Usually, if you just wait a few minutes, the IRC server will determine that you are no longer there, and will close your connection.

Zylstra is correct on this. The forums and chat have no relation to each other. The chat link on the forums will log you in using the username provided by the forums. So it's likely the IRC server just didn't have enough time to see you as logged off. In the case of Ivy she ran into an issue with another user in a different channel with her name so was getting the prompt about her being logged in.

Okay, gotcha.  I didn't think they should be related, but when I logged out and logged back in, it worked, so I just came to that conclusion.  Heh.
