We have an average of 322.68 users online daily...
I am guessing that each post has around 2-4 smilies at least at the minimum... (so, we will call it 3)
322.68 * 0.18 = 58.0824
Think of the bandwidth we could save, people! 58KB in a day! (1.7MB in a month)

Feature implemented as CBMatt mentioned. The user who started the topic will be known as "*Topic starter". I thought the addition of an icon would clutter things up. But can be changed if demand for it is so requested.

I would like to see the cursor placed in the message section when selecting "Reply' or 'Quote.' Upper left corner of the message section for Reply and at the end of the quotation for Quote.

On the screen that lists messages, unread posts and new replies - how about enumerating how many new replies; similar to the display of messages. E.g. New replies to your posts (10).

Sure, we'll see about doing it. Added to list. I believe it'd be possible to have users to be able to select what smiles they wish to use. So those who don't care for them can just use default or something not so intrusive.

I made a few OP bars if the notion strikes you to use one. I can change them easily. probably shouldn't have included the * in them but it can be removed easy enough.

I commented about this on the OP thread and have adjusted the text to look similiar to your icons. Lets discuss this further in this thread.

I like them, although I'd like to keep text if possible. I can modify the CSS to look similiar to the icons you used here and can adjust them on the fly to meet almost any need. What about this change everyone?

I like "topic starter" bar idea. It's much better visible, than simple text. Maroon looks better, than blue (especially on blue reply background).

That #ECEDF3 works well - thank you ..... mellows things just fine.

One other thing, tho not sure if implementable on SMF - numbered posts?  On VBulletin where it seems common, this can be handy for referring back to a specific post without necessarily having to quote.

Zero marks for observation!  I was looking top right close to quote where I had seen numbering on VB - danged if I noticed the numerical ref where it actually is.  Duh!

I must agree, that number is not too well visible. When I first got to CH, I didn't see them either.

Looking at the forum statistics, I am the 4th ranked topic starter out of all members... are these associated?
