ComputerHope Chat - How to Contact Your Operator

ComputerHope Chat has its own set of things that can cause problems, just like on the forums.

From SPAM, to crazy insane people, you've got everything you have here. (Bugs too)

I am creating this post, and sticking it for now, so everyone who has problems knows where to go if there are no operators online.

First, things to know:

When an event happens, copy the chat, and record the exact time too. (Include your timezone in any report).
Dont get yourself in the pit of trouble. Its easy to find yourself deepening an argument, especially in a live chat, get out of deep argument and keep debates from going to arguments.
If someone starts sending you personal chat messages that are not kind, simply ignore it. We dont moderate personal messages.
If they are flooding the channel, dont observe it. Telling them to stop is the reaction they want, just ignore them. You can always type: /ignore usernamehere in your chat client to have them ignored.

Second:

Report the problem to this topic, or contact a moderator on the forums if a chat operator is not available to take your report. Include exactly what happened, time, day, timezone, usernames involved, etc.

"Voiced" people: (Voiced people are capable of getting whois information, and reporting it to an administrator/operator)

"Voiced" is a position we offer to pretty much any member who is willing to frequently help that has a registered nickname. This helps differentiate guests from helpers.
