when i start my game.........

i use windows xp, and whenever i'm loading a game a black section appears at bottom of screen. this is about 2.5in if that helps any. this only happens when i load and start playing games though, i can never see the top section of the game im playing. please help me.

hvae you tried adjusting the resolution of the game (in game) and mabey the screen position (with the buttons on the monitor).

yes but the moniter will then have the opposite effect when i am not playing a game. most of the games i cannot get to the menu. this happens on all my games too. is there anything else i can try

What graphics card do you have?

If its an Nvidia get these drivers:

If its an ATI get these:

Then Uninstall your current drivers from the add/remove panel, reboot and install the new drivers.
