I have avast.  It is pretty impressive...sorta lieka  firewall itself.  If a website wants to install potentially harmful whatever, avast on-access protection blocks the site and saves me headaches in the future.

It's the only one I've encountered that didn't try to take over my computer (curse you Norton and McAfee!).

Mines fine. Has been for the last year. Not counting that mysterious non-booting situation that I erroneously blamed on smartdefrag.

dito...no anti-virus and still just as great use preventive measures(that doesn't include a firewall) like Ghostery and Site Advisor.  ;)

the only active security program I have right now is WOT- I also have MBAM installed to run when I'm bored.

No, It's more exciting then that.

hmmm, I could play quake on nightmare, or watch MBAM detect 0 threats. I feel like something intense- I'll go with the MBAM.

niether of them take a toll on my rig  ;)

key point. Besides, I prefer not to run any apps while it's performing a scan. Usually just play N64or something on my laptop  ;D
