how to connect to Parallel port ? ? I've gone through a number of tutorials on the net but still I am unable to solve my problem. I just want to read eight bit data from the standard parallel port (where the printer is plugged in). . . .plz help me

you need so form of software to help you do this..what data are you trying to read...what format...
