TuxReminder, what does he do?

TuxReminder is a bot that I have made and that the administrators have graiciously let stay that will remind users about things that they ask to be reminded about.  It also acts as a message relay, relaying messages between different users if they are not on when you want to make sure not to forget to tell them something.

There has been some discussion on how to use TuxReminder so I am posting his command set here:
For reminders:  Remind me in [number] [unit] to [whatever you want to be reminded about]
Example: Remind me in 2 hours 30 minutes to go eat lunch.

For relaying a message:  Tell [nick] [message]
Example:  Tell ComputerHope that this chat room is sooo cool.

These commands can also be done in private messages so that the intended recipient will get a private message instead of the message being in the channel.

You PM TuxReminder with the Tell message.  Like this:
/msg TuxReminder Tell Carbon that this is a test.

When you say something like "/msg TuxReminder Tell Carbon I say hi", will it say, /msg Carbon Helpmeh says "I say hi" when carbon get's on or in a different format?

It will do it in the format:
/msg Carbon Carbon: Helpmeh asked me to tell you this: "Tell Carbon I say hi"
So that Carbon will see a private message from TuxReminder that says:
Carbon: Helpmeh asked me to tell you this: "Tell Carbon I say hi"

I think TuxReminder is one of my favorite bots thus far. Its a great way to just notify people right then and there once they return to the channel.

Memoserv is fine... but, not so much for people who dont register their nicknames and only check on every so often... but, Memoserv is complex and really only good for somewhat sensitive confidential things.

And for people like me who forget commands it's awesome! Tux needs no commands just ask him to ''tell'', I find it very very easy to use.

Maximum = Channel Maximum minus about 40 characters so that the message does not get cut off when relayed.
Minimum = 8 Characters "Tell a a"

Unfortunately, the receiver is not in control of that function though.

When a user enters the channel, it seems that that is the trigger for the bot to burp up all the waiting messages.   Or if the users simply says something.
It it not unusual for there to be several.   
Splat!    right in the middle of somebody's conversation.
It would be different if we could ask the user - in the is case, the receiver - to please not do that... to wait 'till a more appropriate time.    But, as it is, the receiver cannot be blamed for it.

Actually, it is very easy to use.   And reliable.  And secure.   

Like anything, once one becomes familiar with it,  it becomes second nature that doesn't require much thought.

Personally, I use some scripts that I worked up, quite some time ago.  It was a fun little project.
I've shared them with several people that also use mIRC.     Makes the whole process point-n-click simple.
I assume that those that use other good client programs offer their own scripting language, and something similar could be done with them, too.

Besides, using Memoserv reduces the clutter in the channel.   Almost all the messages handled by TuxReminder are  one-to-one messages.    They are not contributing to a chat conversation, nor the subject of one.   

So why is a chat channel being used for them in the first place?    See what I mean?     

I do see how the capability of something besides Memoserv can be a fun thing though.    It should just be done without channel clutter... especially since Tux has said that it CAN be done that way.

Hmm... What if all messages were sent to the recipient in a private message, and a notice was then sent to the recipient in the channel saying that they have messages?

And for reminders everyone should PM TuxReminder for those so that they don't clutter the chat channel.
