C++ Error

I'm having a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"  error.  The  dialog box says
"Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\...

abnormal prgram termination"

Anyone dealt with this before?  It occurs when I try to open a DVD backup tool known as DVD Shrink, and when I try to play movies from my hard drive with RealOne.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
