I recently purchased a computer with windows 98 on it but i want to change the boot order and other options but ther is password protection on the setup menu it allows you to view the setup menu with the password but you cannot edit the information. Ihave no acces to the previous owner of the computer and re instaling windows is out of the question how would i go about by passing or changing the password? Please help

There is normally a jumper on the motherboard that will reset the BIOS to defaults.  You need to find that jumper and follow the proper procedures based upon your motherboard.

Or remove the motherboard battery.  It often looks like an over-sized wrist watch battery.
